As an educator I seek to share my love for education as it applies to all fields. I believe that Education is a constantly evolving process, an active growth, a lifelong pursuit. Education is so much more than just a noun.
- Education is Passion : Philosophy. My ideas on educaiton and teaching and how I envision my teaching experience will continue to unfold as I continue to pursue my dreams to change the world by changing lives.
- Education is Imagination : sample lesson plans that show how creative education has to be. We have to imagine new ways of introducing topics and allowing students to experience learning and not just learn facts about it. We have to present problems for young people to solve and not give the answers to the test.
- Education is an Experiment : Classroom management plan and set-up. Everything that we do influences others. The setting in which we place our learning can help or hinder. The images we use to convey a message can advance it or pull you off track. Therefore education is a constant experiment as we learn to adapt.
- Education is Intentional : Rubrics and Assessments. How can we measure the success of our teaching and the success of the students learning in a single effort? Are we as instructors aiming for long-term learning or simply to insure that the students can pass the test? There is no way to know without constant evaluation and assessment. Students will not know what is expected of them without simple and concise expectations.
- Education is Collaborative : Textbook Evaluation. Educators are not islands. Education is not a field that can function independently. We need the constant collaboration of business, industry, science, art, government, and families. Working with other educators and learning from their expertise improves the rate at which we can excel.
- Education is Innovation : Standards & Technology.
- Education is Experience : Learning from those that have gone before and taking their tools that they have
- Professional Resume : my experience is teaching is across the board in numerous fields allowing me to see education as a universal tool that can be used in any environment under any circumstances and it requires a keen mind to make it effective.
